Rumours have continued to trail the proposed visit of his Excellency PRESIDENT BUHARI to Imo state using IPOB’s name to propagate and stage-manage discord and ill politics in the state.
The purported press release has been trending warning the Government to seize from further plans to bring the president in the south East states.
Such release according to government sources is termed as disastrous and life-threatening against the Government of the state, zone and Federation.
On this therefore the Chairman of the Arewa Youths Forum Alhaji Adamu Garba has disclosed the availability of information linking the immediate past governor of Imo State Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha to clandestine plans to attack and humiliate President Buhari in Imo State.
Alhaji Garba in a statement in Abuja monitored by our correspondent revealed that the members of the Arewa community in Imo State have sent an SOS message to him on the heightened condemnation of the Presidential visit by persons closely connected with Ihedioha.
“If Ihedioha does not want northerners in Imo State, then we don’t want Southerners in the North, Garba warned.
Speaking further Garba said, “we have our youths in Imo State who were born there. The report they sent us is very worrying on the undignified smearing of the person and office of President Mohammadu Buhari, and we will not hesitate to trigger retaliatory actions here in the north”
All investigations point to Ihedioha and those loyal to him as masterminds of this onslaught.
We have equally seen online platforms and traced those castigating Mr President and threatening death and mayhem as those closely associated with Emeka Ihedioha, Garba said.
The release categorically maintained that any attack on President Buhari and his entourage will be retaliated in the North.
They however warn against any undue plan to disrupt the presidential visit to Imo state, the Easter heartland and pray for continued peace and harmony to reign.
When asked the possible benefits of the presidential visit to Imo state, Garba hinted that a lot of good will be added to Imo state by BUHARI’S VISIT to inspect some projects and discuss with the people on the best ways to address AILING issues to Improve both the South-East zone and Imo state in particular.
