Muhammad Usman Shehu, his wife Hajia Fatima Ahmed Usman, alongside four other family members lost their lives in a fatal motor accident, which occurred at Ahoka bridge along Abuja-Lokoja highway.

A witness said the incident occurred around 12:34pm on Sunday.

The couple are from Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

According to him, the couple and the four others left Toto town in Nasarawa State in an unmarked Honda car to attend a burial of one of their relative in Konto Karfe when the tragic incident happened.

He said the vehicle veered off the road and somersaulted into the ditch after a trailer hit the vehicle from behind, leaving six of the occupants dead instantly.

However, the remains of the deceased were evacuated into an ambulance to Toto, Nasarawa State for burial.
