TRIBUTE TO LATE PATRIARCH AND LEGAL LUMINARY, ALH. ABDULGANIYU FOLORUNSHO ABDULRAZAQ SAN (OFR)
THE MUTAWALLI OF ILORIN, THE TAFIDA OF ZAZZAU (ZARIA)

Alhaji Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and holders of the National Medal, Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR).
Baba Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq was endowed with an uncommon brilliance and amiable personality , wrapped up in magnetic mannerism. Beside , he possessed a lion heart and an unbridled determination to succeed, even under daunting and frustrating vicissitudes , which characterized his early life in school and @ work.
Baba AGF was unique destined to always be a “First”- the First child of his parents.
First indigene of Ilorin Emirate , in fact ,of Northern Nigeria ,to School in Eastern Nigeria (Onitsha and Buguma) both Primary and Secondary School levels: the First indigene of the Emirate to gain admission into a University in both Nigeria and Great Britain, and the first Northern Nigeria to Qualify as a Lawyer and Barrister – at – law.
Baba AGF was the First indigene of Ilorin to be honored with a Traditional Title :
•Tafida Zazzau (Zaria) outside Ilorin Emirate.
•In addition to being the First to be conferred with the traditional title of Mutawalli of Ilorin by then Emir of Ilorin.
Similarly, Baba AGF was also First Indigene to be appointed Nigeria Ambassador to Foreign Land and the First to be a Federal Minister.
Baba AGF also became the First Ilorin indigene to serve a pioneer Commissioner of Finance and later Commissioner for Health in Kwara State from 1967- 1972.
Baba AGF, has played an important role in developing Kwara State and Nigeria as a Country.
“The life of late Symbol of Nigerian Legal Luminary is indelible and can NEVER be ERASED in the SAND of time and we people will realized the GREATNESS in our late Father”.
Baba Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq has done his part in this World.
Baba AGF came to this World, He saw and he Conquered.
• Member of Capital Issues Commission 1973- 1978
•President of Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) 2000-2003
•Vice President of Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) 1983-2000
•Member of the International Commission of Jurists since 1959
•Chairman of the Nigerian Council of Human Right since 1987
•Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Ivory Coast from 1962-1964
•A member of the Federal Parliament from 1964-1966 as the Federal Cabinet Minister of State for Transportation.
•The First Commissioner of Finance in Kwara State after the State was formed in 1967
•Commissioner of Health and Social Welfare also in Kwara State.
Adieu the great and the lion of Emirate Late Alhaji Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq , The Tafida Zazzau and Mutawalli of Ilorin .
May Almighty Allah (SWT) be pleased with your soul, grant you the highest paradise (Al-Jannatul Fir’daus) and continue to be with your humble family that you left behind.
Baba Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq live a fulfill life which many of us will remembered for the rest of our life.
