Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working with tactical team from the Office of the National Security Advisor, have reportedly neutralised more than 21 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during an operation around the Kopre mountain area of Hong LGA, Adamawa State.
The troops also dismantled the terrorists’ camp and recovered a cache of arms, ammunition and logistics during the operation conducted on August 27, 2026.
The operation followed credible intelligence on terrorist activities in the rugged area.
Acting Military Information Officer, Captain Mohammed Goni, made this known in a statement on Friday, saying the operation was conducted on Thursday.
He says the joint force comprised the Office of the national Security Adviser Tactical Team and newly inducted troops of 226 Battalion, deployed to Sector 4, Adamawa State under the directive of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu.
According to him, the troops, acting on credible intelligence, carried out a covert entrance into the area despite the difficult and rugged terrain before launching a precision strike on the terrorists’ camp in the early hours of Thursday.
