The United States President Donald Trump has expressed deep concern’ over the growing attacks on Christians in Nigeria, describing the situation as an “existential threat” to Christianity
In a statement shared on X, Trump said thousands of Christians have been killed by radical Islamist groups, adding that Nigeria has been designated a “Country of Particular Concern”.
Trump called on Congressman Riley Moore, House Appropriation Committee Chairman Tom Cole, and other lawmakers to investigate the crisis and report back to him.
He urged the United States to take immediate action, insisting that the country “cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria and other nations”.
President Trump reaffirmed this commitment to protecting Christian communities globally, saying America remains “ready, willing, and able to save our great Christian population around the world”.
