In a further shake-up Hon Yekini Idaiye, also of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was removed from his role as Chief Whip.
These changes were prompted by a letter from the acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State., Jarret Tenebe.
The restructuring follows the defection of four PDP lawmakers to the APC, resulting in the PDP losing its majority in the Assembly.
The Speaker announced fresh appointment to several key positions and noted that the PDP leadership is expected to forward a new list of nominees for principal offices in the House.
Speaker Agbebaku also acknowledged that the current changes might still affect his role and that of Deputy Speaker, depending on the evolving political dynamics.
