Acting Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has instructed commissioners of Police (CPs) nationwide to tighten security measures in responses to escalating geographical tensions in the Middle East.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by Benjamin Hundeyin, the force’s Police Public Relations Officer, the directive is part of proactive steps to prevent any potential fallout from global developments.
Authorities say the move is precautionary, amid at ensuring national safety and maintaining public order amid international uncertainities.
