A gas explosion has injured two people in Abdulkareem Haruna, HumAngle regional editor’s house in Maiduguri.
The incident happened on Monday morning during the naming ceremony of the journalist’s newborn child.
It is gathered also that the explosion sends the newborn into coma and has been rushed to the hospital.
This is happening few hours after the journalist posted the child on his Facebook handle, announcing his name to the public.
The explosion, which is believed to have been caused by a faulty gas cylinder has send shockwaves through the neighborhood.
A former regional editor with Premium Times Newspaper, Mr. Haruna is a veteran journalist working in the Northeastern Nigeria for over a decade.
