Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, wife of Ayatollah Khamenei has died after suffering injuries in the same U.S-Israeli airstrikes on Tehran that killed her husband.
She was 79 years old and had been in a coma, her death reportedly occurred two days after the Iranian leader’s killing, further deepening tensions following the escalation of hostilities involving Iran and its adversaries.

Masoureh was born in 1947 in Mashhad, Iran, and married Ali Khamenei in 1964.
The couple had six children together, including four sons and two daughters.
Masoureh largely stayed out of public eye throughout her husband’s leadership, maintaining a private life.
Her death comes amid escalated tensions between Iran and U.S-Israeli forces, with reports of retaliatory strikes and rising casualties.
Khamenei death was officially announced on Sunday, while his wife succumbed to her wounds the following day.
The deaths comes amid a rapidly intensifying conflict in the Middle East, with retaliatory threats, military alerts and diplomatic tensions rising across the region.
