U.S. Mission Condemns Killing of Rev. Sylvester Okechukwu

The U.S. Mission in Nigeria has expressed deep distress over the brutal killing of Reverend Father Sylvester Okechukwu in Kaduna State.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Mission described the attack as an immeasurable loss to Father Okechukwu’s family, congregation, and community.

“We strongly condemn this horrific act of violence. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, congregation, and community of Father Okechukwu, who have suffered an immeasurable loss. Our thoughts are with them during this time of profound grief,” the statement read.

The U.S. Mission further urged authorities to ensure that those responsible for the killing are swiftly brought to justice.
