Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has described former Governor of the State, Chief Martin Elechi as “a living legend” as he celebrates his 81 birthday.
In a birthday message, Governor Umahi said Chief Elechi has seen the world change tremendously, having been through thick and thin and above all turned out all right.
Governor Umahi further said Chief Elechi is like a fresh wine, sweet and classic yet embellished with so many experiences and many memories.
He prayed to God Almighty to guide and strengthen Chief Elechi to continue to function as a bastion of hope and mentorship to future generations.

HEARTY BIRTHDAY TO AN EXCEPTIONAL OCTOGENARIAN!
On behalf of my dear wife, the Government and good people of Ebonyi State, salt of the Nation, I join the millions of friends and well-wishers to congratulate our dear mentor and foremost Founding Father, His Excellency, Chief Martin Elechi, CON, on his historic attainment of the remarkable age of eight decades and one in sound health.
At age 81, Your Excellency has seen the world change tremendously, having been through thick and thin and above all turned out all right.
At this tremendous age, Ochoudo, you are like a fresh wine, sweet and classic yet embellished with so many experiences and many memories.
Even though the wrinkles show you are not getting any younger, your smile and kind heart show how you are young in heart.
At this historic moment, therefore, we pray God Almighty to guide and strengthen you to continue to function as a bastion of hope and mentorship to future generations.
