UNIJOS Student Fighting For Life after Being Stabbed By Female Colleague For ‘Noise Distraction’

A undergraduate student of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), Julius Nember, is struggling for his life in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed by a female colleague

It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday morning January 12, 2024.

Accroding to source who claimed anonimity told 9News Nigeria that Julius is a 200 level student of the Department of Library Science, while the suspect, Anita, is also a 300 level student of the Department of English.

“The incident did not happened at the school hostel, but around Rusawo village, off campus both are students of UNJOS, they share same building but different rooms. “It is really pathetic and unacceptable, people should learn to manage their anger in times like this”

A Facebook User, Krayzeetee Atuu, who spoke to the victim’s family members said trouble started after the suspect claimed that Julius and his friend were making noise, the suspect locked Julius and his friend in his room with a padlock without notice from the outside door, she later gave unidentified person the keys to unlocked the door, Julius and his friend were highly tensed and angry about her attitude.

As a result of this, Julius confronted the suspect over her action, she allegedly stabbed him on the chest with a knife. Julius was later rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The suspect has been arrested by the police for interrogation.
