9News Nigeria has obtained photos from the killings of unarmed protesters in Benue State following the latest attack by Fulani herdsmen which claimed 50 lives.
Recall that 9News Nigeria brought you a report earlier on that the peaceful protest by Benue youths today in makurdi, the Benue State Capital, against the bloody carnage of the killer herdsmen in Benue communities, turned bloody as as about 10 people were shot dead and scores injured by the Sparodic shootings of the Army and Mobile Police force in Makurdi.
9News Nigeria learnt that this followed the arrival of the State Governor, Dr Samuel Ortom, at the protest ground, accompanied by, His Deputy, SSG, Commanding officer 72 batallion, the Commissioner of Police, among others, and wanted to address the crowd. The shootings started following the refusal of the youths to be addressed by the Governor Seeking to hear from Buhari and started throwing ostones and sachet water(pure water) at the Governor.
The scores shot and injured have been rushed to the Benue State University teaching hospital, while those that died at the spot have been taken to the mortuary. See more photos below
