The call by Imo people to uphold government resolve to go ahead with its plan to recover every single property of government from looters has opened up alot of secrets from the horses mouth who insisted that he the governor has not called Senator Okorocha for peace talk as rumors had continued to distract good people.

Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma has denied holding any peace talk with a former governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha.

Governor Uzodimma therefore urged the people of the state to disregard a video currently in circulation purporting that he held a peace meeting with the former governor.

In the video, images of the governor and Okorocha were shown alongside the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshimohole.

A statement signed by the governor’s Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Mrs. Nneamaka Okafor said the video was shot shortly after the governor reclaimed his mandate at the Supreme Court in January, 2020.

Okafor said it was therefore most unpleasant and misleading for falsehood peddlers to circulate the video as if it is a new one and alleging that Governor Uzodimma has been summoned to a peace talk meeting with Okorocha.

She advised the public to disregard the video, saying that implementation of the white paper on stolen public assets must be carried out to the letter.

According to her, no amount of political gimmicks would make the state government back-pedal on its decision to recover all public assets illegally acquired by anyone no matter how highly-placed.

This is a good way to go.
