Controversial Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu has claimed that social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), was recently interrogated by Chinese authorities during his visit to the country.
The actor made the revelation via his Instagram page, expressing concern over the situation and suggesting that the interrogation may have been linked to VDM’s online activities.
According to Maduagwu, the incident occurred on March 2, 2025, when VDM was allegedly held and questioned for over two hours by Chinese police.
“VDM was reportedly invited and interrogated for two hours in China. What exactly is going on?” Maduagwu said.
The reports remain unverified, with no documented evidence indicating that the online critic was deported from China.
As of the time of this report, VDM has not responded publicly to the allegations.
