Boniface who had on the cusp of joining the Rossoneri, saw the transfer collapse due to recurring knee injuries, a history that has plagued his career.
He was recently forced to miss the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) due to muscle injury.
The 24-year-old returned to training with LeverKusen last week but was omitted from the matchday squad for their thrilling 3-3 draw against Bremen last weekend, fueling speculation about his future.
Boniface, highly excited about the transfer, says he is ready for a fresh challenge and hopes to make an an instant impact for the German side.
