We Won’t Pay Any Dime To Rescue Abducted Children, President Tinubu Tells Security Chiefs

Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu has dismissed any plan by his administration to pay ransom to rescue the children that were abducted from Kuriga in Kaduna State.

The President made the declaration during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

President Tinubu stated that kidnapping, especially mass abduction of personswouldl not be tolerated by his administration.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris, briefed newsmen after the meeting.

Idris said the president reiterated his directive to the defense urging them to ensure that the children are rescued and brought back safely to their homes.

He also said the President made his stance against payment of ransom to kidnappers and his determination to tackle kidnapping and other criminal activities in the country.

Not less than 60 persons were kidnapped by bandits at Buba village in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State last Tuesday.

The fresh Kajuru attack occurred barely five days after bandits invaded the Kuriga community in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state and kidnapped 287 students of LEA Primary School and Government Secondary School located in the community.
