The Ogwashi-Uku Youths Development Association (OYDA) Port Harcourt Branch in Rivers State, it’s an association that’s been founded in 2005 and it’s an association that made up of Deltans, who came from Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South local government Area of Delta State.
Speaking with the President of the Association, Comrade Henry Okafor, he told our correspondent that this association is formed to reach out to the youths from their community who are based in Port Harcourt and stand by one another.
He says Ogwashi-Uku Youths Development Association has assisted a lot of youths from Ogwashi-UKu and it has attracted good and profitable development to their community, in terms of human capital development and infrastructural development.
We are not political, we believe in reaching out to our brothers and sisters.
Also speaking is the Ex-President of the Association, Mr. Uba Utulu, who also told us that this association has done marvelously well during his tenure as a president and that he brought a lot of good achievements to the association, they practice and display love as youths who came from their community to Rivers State to find a better living.
We stand by each other in times of need, we love ourselves as a big and happy family and we encourage others who are yet to join the association who came from OGWASHI-UKU, should ally with us ” he added “
