Mrs Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi has been appointed as the Secretary for the newly created Women Affairs Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
She was born in 1965 and hails from Ogun State.
She attended Queens School Lagos for her secondary school education and graduated from the University of Ibadan in 1989 with an English degree.
Mrs Adedayo Laniyi has made quite notable contributions to society and has been a renowned motivational speaker.
She is passionate about social issues, as she has been an activist and advocate for women and children.
After an encounter with her, one can simply opine that she possesses deep understanding and numerous capabilities in societal development and growth.
It is further important to note that she is a seasoned and serial entrepreneur who basically provides social services and remedies.
She displayed her drive in 2023 when she contested for the sole seat of Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), stressing that she’ll always prioritize the development and empowerment of women and the girl child in the FCT and beyond.
As she has always said, “I am ready to serve”. It is evident that she would make a great fit for the role given to her by our principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
