The people of Anambra may have been wondering why HE Willie Obiano has not conducted local government elections since the onset of his Administration 6 years ago.
It has been on record that so many interest groups, political parties, families and stakeholders in the state had on different occasions called on the Anambra state government led by HE Willie Maduabrochukwu Obiano to conduct the Local government elections in the state so as to enable active grassroot development and active political participations in the state
Even after so many calls and agitations by the people of Anambra state. HE Willie Obiano has always paid no heed to the calls by so many groups in the state as development has never been his interest from the onset of his administration.
Most times he uses one self acclaimed APGA Media warrior MR Chinedu Obigwe A.K.A Akaekpuchionwa from Aguleri to claim that the oppositions filed a non existent law suit against the state where he accused the opposition of pleading the court not to allow Obiano conduct local government elections in the State.
The truth about this whole failure of Willie Obiano’s to conduct local government elections is geared to the reality on ground in the state on how His Administration has failed the people of Anambra and also the readiness of the people to reject him and his party in any elections in the state.
He realized that under his administration as the governor of the state that Anambra State has gone from the most celebrated light of the nation under former governor Peter Obi to the one our people cry daily on how the state has become the dark of the nation under his administration.
It is on record and evidently clear that the roads, educations, infrastructure and economy of Anambra state has grown worst since inception of his Administration and there is no hope for a better state as there are non or less policy driven discussions by his government on how to salvage the ineptitudness of the present day.
Infact he is aware of how the people of Anambra state has been wondering how he managed to pull a wool on our eyes to emerge the winner for his second term bid and hence won’t stoop to the disgrace of lossing all the 21 local government in the state if he finally succumbs to the pressure of conducting local government elections in the state.
He knows conducting local government elections in the state means APGA will have no serious contender for the party ticket cum 2021 gubernatorial primaries as it would be evident that APGA won’t win the next governorship election in the state since grassroot has left for a better party with vision like the PDP in the state.
Finally HE Willie Obiano has made up his mind on not to conduct Local government elections in the state because he knows that no Local government will allow APGA win because of his inability to govern the people so he opted for a caretaker committee that would only serve as an attack dogs to opposition voices in the grassroots so he can finish his 2nd tenure successful, then leave the APGA gubernatorial candidate to his own fate in the coming elections.
