“Why Our Helicopter Carrying Osinbajo Crashed In Kogi” — Caverton Group

Yesterday we reported that the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s helicopter crashed in Kogi State, and the Caverton group has released a statement revealing why the incident occurred.

Josiah Choms, an executive at Caverton who confirmed the incident which occurred at about 3:00 p.m. in Kabba, Kogi State, said the accident was due to “unusual weather conditions.” According to Mr. Choms, there were no injuries to the passengers or crew members as they were all quickly and safely evacuated

“The relevant authorities have been duly informed and an investigation into the incident has commenced. We will, of course, support the authorities as required,” the statement added.

Recall that Laolu Akande, a presidential spokesperson, said 12 people including the minister of state for labour and productivity, Stephen Ocheni, senior presidential aides, security officials were on board the helicopter.
