The Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Barrister Nyesom Wike has approved the promotion of more than 2,000 civil servants serving under the FCT Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
The promotion follows the recently conducted examinations for career advancement, covering staff across 165 cadre. Officials say the move over scores the administration’s commitment to staff welfare, motivation, and merit-based progression.
Chairman of The FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeks Ezeh, assured civil servants that future promotions will continue to be transparent and merit-driven, with the use of digital systems for efficiency. The decision has been widely welcomed by the beneficiaries, reflecting a boost in morale among FCT civil servants.
