Brazil forward, Neymar Jr., has explained why he burst into tears after their 2-0 win over Costa Rica on Friday.
Neymar scored the second goal after Philippe Coutinho had tapped in the opener in the 91st minute, as the Selecao won their first game at the 2018 World Cup.
However, the Paris Saint-Germain dropped to his knees and held his face at the final whistle.
He has now taken to his Instagram page, to clear up speculations.
Neymar wrote: “Not everyone knows what I’ve come through to get here.
“The cry is joy, overcoming. In my life things have never been easy, would not be now right! The dream continues, not dream, OBJECTIVE! Congratulations on the match.”
