...."Like many before him, who are blessed with extraordinary wisdom and intelligence, he has maintained a simple life and has remained in touch with humanity. All his life, he has been devoted to the service of his people and always sought ways to give back to society. I remember many years ago, about 1996 or 1997 when Soludo established a computer training and processing centre, the Queen's Computer World, at the Continuing Education Centre, CEC, in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
It was a time when people in this clime knew little or nothing about computers. Soludo had access to some from his contacts overseas and saw the need to equip young people with requisite knowledge for the future. He was among the first, if not the first, to bring computers to the serene university community. I heard he also donated some computers to the department of Economics where he lectured then and helped to set up a computer help centre for lecturers and students. Of course, folks like me took advantage of the opportunity as pioneer students of the training school and I am better for it today."
