Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has fire back at former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, over remarks that Wike does not show him respect.
Amaechi, speaking earlier, had questioned why his successor refused to acknowledge him with the respect he believes he deserves.
He also challenged Wike to walk with him from Abuja to PortHarcourt to prove who among them is more popular.
Responding during an appearance on Channels Television on Friday July 4, Wike dismissed Amaechi comments, insisting that respect is earned through personal qualities, not age or political seniority.
“You should be respected by your integrity and honour, not because you’re 200 years old”, Wike said,.
“It is unfair for him to say he is my senior and expect that alone to command respect”, he said.
