The senator representing Abia North in the upper chamber of the National Assembly has taken to his verified Facebook handle to question his critics who allege that he became a politician in Nigeria to acquire wealth.
The former Abia State began his response to his critics by revealing that as far back as 1982, he bought the latest Mercedes car and it was only the then President Shehu Shagari that had such a similar car in Nigeria. He went on to clarify that he has even lost more money being a politician than he has gained.
He then questioned his critics to imagine that if he could bankroll the Peoples Democratic Party with five hundred million naira as far back as 1998 before he became a governor, should they expect him to be hungry.
He then ended his long post by affirming that his various businesses enable the employment of people and he began employing people very early in life and he has continued to do so.
