You Must Account For Grabbing People’s Land, Allocating To Friends, Adeyanju Tells FCT Minister, Wike

Barrister Deji Adeyanju, a human rights activist, has responded to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike regarding allegations that he sought Wike’s support to become the National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), a request that Wike reportedly declined.

In a media chat with journalists earlier this week, Minister Wike claimed that Adeyanju approached him, asking for support in his ambition to become the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary. Wike stated that he refused to assist Adeyanju, suggesting that this was the reason for Adeyanju’s subsequent protests and accusations against him.

In response to these allegations, Deji Adeyanju told reporters that Wike is a frustrated individual who has positioned himself as a minor deity in Nigeria’s political landscape. He accused Wike of specializing in the appropriation of people’s land to satisfy his political allies in exchange for seeking political favors.

“Adeyanju added, ‘Wike has no integrity as he claims. He is full of lies and exhibits a spirit of betrayal and blackmail. You must be held accountable for seizing people’s land and allocating it to your friends.'”
