In a strong worded statement issued on Monday July 14, by his spokesperson, Olawale Rashheed, Governor Adeleke described Aregbesola’s comments as a delusional and hypocritical, stating that the former Governor has no moral ground to speak on leadership or governance.
Governor Adeleke said, he was reacting to Aregbesola’s threats to remove him from office in 2026, even as Osun is still suffering from the inhumane and maladministration inflicted in the state during his time in office.
“The empty boast of Mr. Aregbesola about 2026 is symptoms of troubled mind battling his benefactor and haunted by the suffering he inflicted on millions of Osun people through his evil policies and programmes”, Adeleke said.
He accused the former governor of presiding over a legacy of financial wreckage, institutional decay, and human abuse”, alleging that Aregbesola’s actions led to the suffering and death of several civil servants and pensioners in the state.
