Criminal activities have increased on daily basis within the area mentioned in this story by 9News Nigeria Owerri.

Our correspondent reports that efforts made by the state government to reduce crime in the state is working out but surprisingly within FUTO, FEDPONEK, Avu, Obinze, Oforola, Umuokani, Ngor Okpala, Egbu, Nekede, Ihiagwa environs are no longer safe by the increasing criminal activities, abductions and killings.

We have also gathered authoritatively that local efforts to check the abnormalities arising from these communities mentioned is not yielding any positive progress.

At a call on 9News Nigeria Owerri, leaders of Obinze swung into action to avert a repeat of abductions in the area last year but coming to year 2024, the criminals resurfaced.

In Nekede, Ihiagwa, Avu, Same measures was applied but was proved abortive by the actors who also resurfaced since the clearing of the forest by government agencies stopped.

The forests in this area has become a den of criminal activities abductions and killings as confirmed by security operatives in the area.

Towards Mgbirichi, Oforola, Eche, Nmahu, Egbema area have worst record of abduction and criminal activities as 9News Nigeria reports.

Within Egbu, Naze towards Ngor Okpala area is not favourable to the residents because of high rates of criminal activities going on in the area on steady basis.

It is no longer safe to be keeping deaf ears to this anomalous situation arising Imo state. As if Orlu zone is becoming calm , owerri zone and in extension Ohaji Egbema area is charged with criminal activities while calling on Imo State government to swiftly safe the situation.

Wednesday morning, a lifeless body of a young boy was found within the river area of Umuoma Nekede and that ugly development aggravated the attention of hunters security service command to delve into combative action to unveil crops of dead Bodies in the Nekede, Ihiagwa, Avu, Obinze link forest as 9News Nigeria reports.

The OFFICERS OF NIGERIA HUNTER AND FOREST Security Service combed a certain forest in Imo State Nigeria where operatives discovered some decomposed bodies of kidnappers’ victims.

However, the activities of these criminals have kept increasing after several efforts by community security groups failed.

It was reported that the kidnapers are herders clothed in Fulani attire with sophisticated weapons while using cows to confuse the people and perpetuate their evil intentions.

Watching of the video link below brings to the fore a true testament of what is happening in the bushes within the areas mentioned.

Also, a young boy was found butchered and lifeless along Umudoche river side in Umuoma Nekede few days ago. The identify of the dead is yet to be confirmed by operatives.

With all these criminalities taken place in the area , it is important for the state police to mobilize intelligence forces to crack down perpetrators of this crime.

The people are living in fear and finds it hard to come out at night hours. It is commendable of the Nigeria hunter and security service who has again raised this alarm and made this video possible.

The operatives said ‘the purpose of posting the video is for the public to be very careful outside there to protect their environment and make sure that both them and their loved ones are not victims of this disheartening situation.

A call in the right direction is for the government of Imo state under Governor Hope Uzodinma to swiftly react to the killings and criminal activities going on the state.

Security agencies, advocacy groups are expected to align with the Imo state government to curb this menace bedevilling Imo communities.

On these areas attacked by alleged herders and their cohorts mentioned, it is disheartening to note that the combatant 34 Artillery brigade Obinze, Nekede and Ihiagwa police headquarters, Naval base and many vigilant operative groups are sited and still insecurity has lingered.
