Member Elects 10th House IMHA is facing a strong rift among themselves on who takes the principal positions.
In the game of politics such struggle is normal to fix the best hands on the right positions through a stage managed in-house election.
Chyna Iwuanyanwu and Uche Agabiga is fighting for Deputy Speakership position including other principal officers contending for positions.
Deputy Speakership position in the 10th Imo State House of Assembly is becoming more interesting while lobbying has continued amongst the House Members-Elects.
Sources revealed that Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu representing Nwangele State constituency who held the position in the last dispensation is fighting for a return while Hon. Uche Agabiga representing Orsu constituency who returned as a ranking member is also in the race.
At the time of filling this report by 9News Nigeria, serious lobbying is going on for the position.
The contenders are in close ranks with some close aides of the Governor for endorsement.
However, Governor Uzodinma may pull a support for the Orsu Lawmaker base on his mature legislative experience and lesser controversial lifestyle, our government House source told 9News Nigeria.
Sources further revealed that some Lawmakers who served in the 9th Assembly and returned in the 10th Assembly have accused Iwuanyanwu of being power drunk and controversial and they are kicking against his return as Deputy Speaker.
This they said is to restore some sanity in the 10th Assembly but the pendulum is still swinging as gathered by our correspodent. At the end of today there will be a consensus agreement before the inauguration proper which is slated for Friday 16-06-2023.
There are principal positions waiting for adoption like the Speaker, majority Leader, chief Whip, minority Leader and others.
