10th National Assembly: The Race Has Begun!
As the dust settled after the February 25 and March 18 polls which saw winner (s) emerge for the presidential and National Assembly elections, the race, for principal organs of the Red and Green Chambers has begun in earnest. With various individuals declaring their intentions to occupy one seat or the other, serious horse-trading and consultations are currently going on. Among the top contenders eyeing the numero uno seat of the Green Chamber comes a versatile, enigmatic, vivacious and quintessential egghead woman, Hon. Miriam Odinaka Onuoha who represents Okigwe North Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.
Hon. Onuoha, a native of Umunachi Osu-Ama in Insiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. The alumnus of University of Lagos (B.Sc) as well as University of Abuja (MSc) has thrown her hat into the race for the #1 seat of the Green Chamber. Hon. Onuoha, a lady with track records of performance and people-centric deliverables joins the race to unleash her potential for the overall benefits of Nigeria and Nigerians. A lady of valour and candour is set to bring Total Quality Leadership – TQL in leading the 10th House of Representatives.
Hon. Onuoha who is the Committee Chairman on People With Disabilities and Vulnerables at the Federal House of Representatives is a woman who has impacted lives in various ways – human capital development, education, empowerment among many philanthropic gestures credited to her name. Her decision to join the race for the Speakership of the 10th House of Representatives is hinged on the need to partner with the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in driving his Action Plan of #RenewedHope. She intends to run an inclusive 10th Assembly that consolidate on the gains of the outgoing 9th Assembly for national cohesion and development.
As a woman with empathy, compassion and altruism, the 10th Assembly is set to witness a leadership with finesse and people-oriented legislation. Hon. Onuoha has proven her strength of character on the floor of the hallowed chamber. She has repeatedly shown her capability to galvanise support for the good of the ordinary Nigerians.
