HIS DECLARATION TO RUN FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA TIMELY AND MOTIVATIONAL- SEYA
The news of the declaration of interest by Sen Anyim Pius Anyim to run for the most powerful and highest political office in Nigeria is a heartwarming development and mind-blowing effort to project his aspiration to assume the presidency position come 2023.
The entire members and associates of Southeast Youths for Equity Alliance (SEYEA), a Frontline youth organization is earnestly canvassing for a power shift to the South-Eastern part of Nigeria in 2023 to have a NIGERIAN PRESIDENT OF SOUTHEAST EXTRACTION as equity demands, heartily congratulate and commend distinguished Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim (GCON) for the bold and courageous step taken in declaring his interest to run for the office of the President, the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023.
However, in a communique issued and made public to 9News Nigeria Owerri reveals that this is indeed a political motivation to the group and its affiliated partners soliciting for a Nigerian President of South-East extraction.
In their words, “We laud Senator Pius Anyim for his expression and declaration as PRESIDENTIAL Aspirant especially being the first South East Presidential hopefuls to officially declare interest.
Having excelled in all the various political offices and positions held, prominent among others; Senate President (August 2000 – may 2003) and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF (May 2011 – May 2015), we are confident that he possesses the character, sagacity, will, contacts, experience and drive to run for this office to the later, being the current highest political office holder in South East.
A check on him has it that he is someone who can solve complex problems, work with others and has the ability to confront the challenges facing education, environment, security, economy and human rights in Nigeria. But more importantly, He is a critical thinker who won’t let political ideology and “alternative facts” distort his judgment for a better, united and prosperous Nigeria.
We want to also use this medium to Call on other South East Presidential hopefuls in Various Political parties to follow Sen Anyim Pius Anyim’s timely bold step and declare interests and work hard to fly the party’s Presidential flag. This will go a long way to show how ready and desirous we are over this collective presidential bid as a people.
Lastly, the group reiterate their stand, that for all-inclusiveness, Equity and Fairness, the Southeast Geopolitical zone should produce the next President of the federal republic of Nigeria come 2023.
This stand according to SEYA is sacrosanct to give the South East people who have contributed so much for the growth and unity of this country Nigeria a sense of belonging and equal stake in the governance of the country.
