Peter Obi has been under serious pressure by PDP Governors to collapse labour party structure for Atiku Abubakar, 9news Nigeria has learned.

It was gathered that the support given to Peter Obi and Labour Party via the global movement has unsettled Atiku and the PDP.

Investigations revealed that Atiku is scared that Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, will
divide PDP votes in Southern part of the country especially the Southsouth and Southeast. Atiku’s strategists believe that the ongoing movement will do terrible political damage to PDP strongholds and reduce PDP chances of emerging victorious.

Further Investigations show that the closed-door meeting held in London recently was to settle the rift between Atiku and Governor Wike and to woo Peter Obi to PDP with enticing offers.

Sources privy to the development told 9news Nigeria correspondent that PDP Governors midwifed the meeting between Atiku and Wike and efforts to get Peter Obi to collapse Labour Party structure for Atiku to give the APC Presidential Candidate, Senator Bola Tinubu a good run for his money.

It is not clear if Peter Obi will yield to pressure to back out from the Presidential Race but sources say that Atiku and his men are not relenting as they are using powerful Nigerian political heavyweights to engage Obi with mouth-watering offers. Recent political pilgrimage to former military generals led by Obasanjo are part of the efforts to get their blessing and convince Peter Obi to return to PDP and support his former presidential principal.

9news Nigeria will keep you posted as the situation unfolds.
