Trump Threatens Tuesday ‘Hell’ for Iran Over Straight of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a fresh and unusually aggressive warning to Iran, threatening targeted strikes on critical infrastructure if Tehran fails to reopen the strategic Strait of Hormuz, 9News Nigeria reports.

The warning came via a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, where Trump used strong language to signal what could be a major escalation in the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

In the post, Trump declared:

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”

The statement, which quickly drew global attention, underscores rising tensions around the Strait of Hormuz — a vital global oil transit route through which a significant portion of the world’s crude supply passes.

Trump’s remarks come amid reports that Iran has effectively restricted access to the waterway following weeks of military exchanges with U.S. and Israeli forces, a move that has already contributed to volatility in global energy markets.

By referencing “Power Plant Day” and “Bridge Day,” the U.S. leader appeared to signal potential strikes on Iran’s energy and transport infrastructure — a development analysts warn could significantly deepen the conflict and disrupt already fragile global oil supply chains.

The post, described by multiple international outlets as profanity-laced and highly provocative, also stood out for its closing line, “Praise be to Allah,” an unusual phrasing in Trump’s public communications.

The latest threat marks a continuation of Trump’s increasingly hardline posture toward Iran since the outbreak of hostilities in late February, with the administration repeatedly insisting that reopening the Strait of Hormuz remains a key objective.

Meanwhile, political reactions within the United States remain divided, with some lawmakers supporting a tougher stance against Iran, while others warn that such rhetoric and potential military action could drag the region into a wider and more destructive war.

As the Tuesday deadline referenced by Trump approaches, global attention is now fixed on whether Iran will respond diplomatically or brace for a possible escalation that could reshape the trajectory of the ongoing Middle East conflict.

In another vein, the United States military has successfully rescued a second airman whose F-15E fighter jet was shot down over Iran, concluding a high-risk operation deep inside hostile territory and marking one of the most daring rescue missions in recent military history.

9News Nigeria reports that the airman, identified as a weapons systems officer, was extracted by U.S. special operations forces after spending more than 24 hours evading capture in rugged Iranian terrain following the aircraft’s downing. The first crew member, the pilot, had earlier been rescued in a separate operation shortly after ejecting from the jet.
