The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course will begin on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, across NYSC Orientation camps in the country.
According to a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, camp registration for all prospective corps members will take place from Wednesday 19 November to midnight of Friday November 21, 2025.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Friday November 21, while the closing ceremony will hold on Thursday, December 9, 2025.
The statement quoted the Director-General, Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, as wishing all corps members safe travels to their camps and advising them to avoid night journeys.
Meanwhile the NYSC has expressed its commitment to improving the efficiency and impact of its orientation programmes. Brigadier-General Nafiiu stated this at the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Pre-Orientation Course Workshop in Abuja, themed “Strengthening the Orientation Course Framework for Greater Relevance and Impact on National Service”.
He said the workshop would review previous orientation exercises, generate new ideas, and adopt best practices that would make future courses more impactful. According to him, the Orientation Course remains the foundation for a successful service year and shapes corps members first impressions of both the NYSC and their host states.
Nafiu noted that the workshop would address emerging issues affecting corps participants and the scheme’s operations.
“We must be willing to critically review our ways of doing things, fine-tune our approaches, and evolve new ones”, he said.
He urged the participants, including NYSC officials and camp directors, to share their experiences and challenges regarding registration, posting, and closing activities, while commending the partner agencies and stakeholders for their consistent support for the scheme.
