Shehu Sani, former Senator, who represented Kaduna Central in the Senate, before, has declare his intention to try again for the senatorial seat in the 2027 elections.
Sani disclosed this, in Sunday, in his Eid-el-Fitr message to his constituents at his home on Kaduna.
Sani emphasized that his main focus for now is supporting the returns of Governor Uba Sani.
“Any politician contesting an election depends on the political equation that determines the position to vie for. If the conditions are right and the equation are favourable, I will offer myself to contest specifically for the Kaduna Central senatorial district.
“For now, our priority is to see that the incumbent Governor, Uba Sani is re-elected. We will work all our might and strength to achieve this. We know there will be challenges and opposition, but we are all well prepared for all forces.
He also urged Muslims to pray for Nigeria’s peace and unity during Eid-el-Fitr.
Additionally, he condemned the recent killing of hunters in Edo State and called on security agencies to find those responsible.
“If citizens cannot move freely across the country, then we are not truly a nation. If individual take the law into their hands for any reason, It means there is no government or authority”, he said.
Sani encouraged Nigerians to work towards peace and unity despite the county’s challenges, while urging the government to protect fundamental human rights, especially right to life, as key step in ensuring stability and development in the nation.
