Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has challenged former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over his recent prediction that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will come third in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during a media chat on Monday, Wike described El-Rufai as a friend but faulted his political calculations.
According to him, if El-Rufai is certain that Tinubu will not win, he should also be bold enough to name who will come first and second.
“El-Rufai is my friend, but he failed in this mathematics. He goofed. Since he knows Tinubu will come third, he should also provide who will be first and second. I will place a bet if El-Rufai agrees, if Tinubu doesn’t win the 2027 election securely,” Wike declared.
