At least, three passengers were confirmed dead while four others injured in a ghastly accident involving a tanker and a tricycle along Farin Gada in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
9News Nigeria correspodent gathered that the accident occurred around 6:30pm on Monday, when the traffic was light.
Peter Yakubu, Spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, Nura Ussaini Magaji, State branch executive secretary of Nigerian Red Cross Society confirmed the incident.
They said some of the dead were mutilated beyond recognition after the trailer ran over the tricycle.
Yakubu narrated that road traffic crash occurred on 23rd December. The crash occurred around the University of Jos Student Village Hostel. Two vehicles were involved – a trailer and a tricycle. Three people were killed and four others sustained various degree of injuries in the crash.
