45-year-old father arrested for defiling his two daughters in Lagos

A 45-year-old man, Monday Nnadozie, has been arrested and charged with defiling his two biological daughters, aged 12, and 6, in Lagos State.

The alleged abused occurred over a period of two years at their residence in the Mofoluku are of Oshodi.

According to reports, Nnadozie started sexually abusing his daughters in 2022, threatening them not to reveal the abuse.

However, the older daughter (aged 12) eventually confided in her mother, who reported the incident to the authorities.

During initial interrogation, Nnadozie denied the allegations but was confronted by his daughters leading to his admission of guilt.

He was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court, where he faces life imprisonment If convicted.

The Court ordered his remand in custody, pending legal advise from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The case has been adjourned until October 17, 2024, to determine If it will be transferred to the High Court for trial.
