The Ogun State Police Command Thursday said it has arrested a 65-year-old man, Louis Alosuposo, over alleged defilement of two minors.
The police command also nabbed three teenage secondary school students for allegedly raping a female colleague.
A statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said
Alosuposo had unlawful carnal knowledge of two minors aged 10 and eight years respectively.
Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, disclosed that the suspect committed the crime in Ayetoro area of the state.
He explained that the mother of one of the victims reported the matter to the police after she discovered a strange behaviour from her daughter.
He said: “The suspect was arrested following a complaint from the mother of one of the victims who lodged the complaint at Ayetoro Division.
“The complainant who claimed to have noticed strange behaviour from her daughter which made her to interrogate the girl very well only for her to discover that the suspect had had carnal knowledge of her daughter.
“Upon complaint, the DPO Ayetoro Division, CSP Makinde Kayode, led a team of policemen to effect the arrest of the suspect.”
