The fake love between Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige of APC and gov Obiano of APGA is over. Ngige is not happy that Obiano has used and dumped him.

Recall that it was Ngige who used his contacts and closeness to Mr President to help Agu Awka block the 12 Igwes who were at Abuja to see President Buhari.

Ngige was reportedly seen moving within the presidency to convince the protocols not to allow ndi Igwe who accompanied Arthur Eze meet with Mr President. The Labour Minister went further to issue an official statement asking the governor to sanction both the traditional rulers and Arthur Eze for seeking audience with the President without his consent.

But Ngige did not do all those things free, he saw an opportunity to align with the governor in order to get at the Igwe of Alor, HRH MacAnthony Elibe Okonkwo. He thought that Agu Awka would appreciate his role and outrightly sack Igwe Elibe.

But the governor has not made any convincing move to appease Ngige by sacking Igwe Elibe Okonkwo despite all the protests and crises the suspension of the Igwe has generated in Alor.

Disappointed that Agu Awka has used and dumped him, Ngige in a statement yesterday attacked gov Obiano and called him a failure. In the statement, Ngige said that gov Obiano has performed poorly and destroyed APGA which cleared the coast for another party (APC) to win the forthcoming 2021 governorship election.

“Now that they have done six years, Anambra people have judged them fully and discovered that they have not made any impression, no impressionable progress, no tangible infrastructure or achievement seen on ground. Even the economy of the people is not buoyant anymore. Anambra used to have an economy that is fast growing in Nigeria, but now as you can see, everybody is disenchanted”, Ngige stated.

The Labour Minister also asked ndi Anambra to reject APGA stating that Anambra 2021 will be the test case for “our people to show that they are no longer doing a lone ranger party type of situation by which I mean that APGA should now do what we call voluntary dismembership and starting the dismembership with the Anambra election.”

The fact remains that APGA under this leadership is a total disappointment – a use and dump. All those who supported this APGA govt are regretting. Ngige is the latest victim. The Labour Minister fought Arthur Eze, accused ndi Igwe who went to Abuja just to please Obiano and get him to sack Igwe Elibe Okonkwo. But he has been betrayed and disappointed.
