Report reaching us now has it that some gun-wielding unknown gunmen have attacked the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma’s convoy.
In a video that was shared on the 9News Nigeria platform, the governor’s special official convoy was ambushed by some unknown gunmen who started shooting sporadically at the convoy.
Attempt to stop the car carrying the governor was scuffled after the car drove through some barricades before escaping the attack. The gunmen were seen running after the governor’s car and shooting at it.
A reprisal attack ensued from the governor’s security men as they drove through the barricade.
Meanwhile, Governor Hope Uzodinma has made a press release saying that there was no attack on his convoy.
