Governor Hope Uzodinma has made another move to revive the DAN AYIAM stadium which was left decayed by the previous Government.
Speaking to 9News Nigeria in Owerri, the governor has promised the people of Imo state his readiness to improve public facilities and most importantly the Dan Ayiam stadium in Owerri.
However, the governor hinted that when the Government talk about massive infrastructural development, the Shared Prosperity administration will in every means keep to his words and match same with commensurate actions.
Meanwhile, It was learnt that the DAN ANYIAM was the home stadium of the Heartland FC Owerri but for a very long time, the stadium had been neglected to the point that even secondary school competitions couldn’t be held there.
9News was told that at the resumption of the current season of the Nigerian premier league heartland matches had to be played at the Okigwe stadium
Today, the stadium is wearing a new look courtesy of the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma who has continued to exemplify his leadership trait across every sector of the state.
The stadium now have a bullet proof VIP stand, a modern state of the art media and commentary box, Several indoor sports halls and other sections to accommodate other sporting activities have all been refurbished.
It is the wish of Ndi Imo to see this magnificent stadium be maintained as governor Uzodinma has set in place.
