A call for Imo Govt to take action against roadside traders and transport workers on Douglas road

Douglas road Owerri, Imo State

There is an emergency need for Imo government to act and punish roadside traders and car loaders along Douglas road Owerri taking Willie Amadi’s administration as a test case

PRINCELY ONYENWE, IMO

The continued stubbornness exhibited by traders alongside Douglas and Mbaise road calls for an EMERGENCY action to better the life of Imo people.

The hazards from this disorder of law, from roadside traders to illegal dumping of refuse and from car loading to pickpockets is attracting a lot of questions to explain exactly what the cause is all about.

In the days of Willie Amadi, Douglas road and the entire Owerri environs were CLEAN AND GREEN but today the story is different owing to the refusal of the roadside traders to cooperate with the government of the day’s stipulations.

I wonder how best an Owerri Son who stands the position as ENTRACO BOSS cannot help the governor and Imo state to take a breath in this same Douglas road to quit roadside traders and make the road motorable??

All efforts by the OPPOSITION and detractors of Government in the then former governor IKEDI GODSON OHAKIM to make Imo dirty and derogate Government policies were resisted by the clean and green policy that gave Imo the National recognition of the CLEANEST STATE in NIGERIA.

The #3R# government can do it again to restore such tempo and designate the civil defence corps along Douglas road to arrest and punish stubborn traders and traffic offenders.

No law can work out successfully without its enforcement and sincerity of service.

I suggest our capacity GOVERNOR HOPE UZODINMA will as a matter of urgency and orderliness act to this effect to approve the removal of roadside trading to sustain his good and quality standard of government which is already in place to make Imo better than others as promised.

The illegal trading and unapproved car parks within the municipality are setbacks to this administration and some undercover agents are feeding from this disorder as revealed.

At the time of this post, refuse, traders, and car loaders have littered the road against Government order while talking down on Government and Owerri people who were ALLEGED to be taking turns from the daily toll.

I remember clean and green but #3R# is expected to do it better🤝
