I HAVE DONE AWAY WITH MY US GREEN CARD – PROFESSOR WOKE SOYINKA
Professor Wole Soyinka claimed that he has discarded his US green card or passport. But I doubt he has done so, I feel that a man like Soyinka, who comes across as intellectual guru should have known that hence he made the promise to tear his American Passport in the presence of press men, it would have been proper for him to also fulfil that promise before press men.
It’s unfortunate that some people want to be more American than Americans themselves. No matter what anyone thinks, Mr. Donald J. Trump have already won the election and there is nothing anyone can do about it. America has nothing to lose if people like our own Professor Soyinka decides to destroy their green card or relocate from the USA.
With all due respect to Professor Soyinka, I want to say that the whole world deserve to be shown evidence that he has discarded that passport, else I don’t believe him. He has nothing to prove to me but commonsense demands that he should have invited the press to witness the discarding or destroying of the green card. After all, he made the pledge before press men.
