The management of the University of Jos, PLATEAU state has suspended its ongoing second-semester examination because of the continued crisis in the state where several people have been wounded and a few dead.

The examination earlier scheduled between Monday 16 and Saturday 21 August have been suspended till further notice.

This is in line with the bid to protect the students, staff and other members of the university community.

Similarly, staff of the university are ENJOINED to remain at home while the 24-hour curfew remains in effect.

However, all students of the university residing in the various hostels are hereby strongly advised to remain within their hostels of residence and AVIOD unnecessary movements as management has been working round the clock in close collaboration with the security agencies and PLATEAU state government to ensure maximum security of lives and Properties.

Also, the students that are residents outside the campuses are also advised to remain at home during this period of Insecurity in the state.

Recall that the lingering crisis in PLATEAU state has recorded about twenty people killed by some youths who laid ambush for them in the Jos North local government area on Saturday.

This has triggered Insecurity in the state while Government and security agencies are in close touch to flush out criminals and stop the killings in Jos.
