FG KICKS OFF SHARED FACILITY PROJECTS ON MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISE (MSMEs) ACROSS THE STATES OF THE FEDERATION

Shared Facility Projects is an entrepreneurial partnership between the Federal Government of NIGERIA across the 36 states of the Federation including the FCT which is aimed at massive empowerment of youths and Improving the commercial environment in NIGERIA.

9News Nigeria reports that states like OYO, BAUCHI, BENUE, LAGOS are done with their approval for operation while EDO, KEBBI, OGUN, ONDO, CROSS RIVER, EKITI, FCT AND IMO state are still ongoing.

In line to the actualisation of this gesture, ANAMBRA state was COMMISSIONED by VP YEMI OSINBAJO few moments ago.

Anambra state shared FACILITY PROJECTS is targeted at shoe production where more than one thousand shoes are produced in an hour.

In EDO state, while inaugurating the MSME Advisory Committee, to be led by PETER OBASEKI at the Government House in Benin City, 9News Nigeria correspondent noted that government will give priority to female entrepreneurs and persons living with disabilities in the disbursement of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) development fund.

Addressing members of the panel, GOVERNOR OBASEKI reminded them that the state has raised N2bn in partnership with the Bank of Industry as Government also have N2bn raised by the Central Bank of Nigeria several years ago.

He maintained that Edo state understands the impact of these sets of funds for small businesses, but are now in the position, having completed their Data to Mega enumeration, to see where these small businesses exist; what they are doing; the challenges they face and how to help them grow.

Obaseki however tasked members of the panel to guide him on how the Edo state government can deliberately channel these credits to prioritise businesses of women entrepreneurs, such that a minimum of 60 per cent of the loans go to supporting female businesses because as a state, they want to make sure that there is a balance gender inclusiveness and inequality.

It is the hope of NIGERIANS to see to the sustenance of these shared Facility Projects all over the states of the federal without diversion from its collective aims and objectives.
