… As jubilation Rock Abuja As Vehicle Owners Buy Petrol At Mainland Oil And Gas
…. commend management for following NNPC directive
There was jubilation in Abuja, the Nation’s capital after Vehicle owners discovered that Mainland Oil and Gas has petrol and has been following NNPC directive in distribution of the product.
Speaking with our correspondent, some of the car owners expressed joy and satisfaction with Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol purchased at the filling station.
Recall that filling stations in Nigeria are still not dispensing petrol, a development that worsened the nationwide PMS scarcity and paralysed activities across the country on Wednesday.
The crisis caused by the adulterated petrol imported into Nigeria about two weeks had led to a hike in the cost of the commodity in many states, as black marketers of the PMS also cashed in on the development.
In Abuja and parts of Niger and Nasarawa, for instance, black marketers sold petrol for as high as N6,000 for 10 litres, translating to N600 per litre.
One of the car owners said, “I am happy that was able to finally purchase fuel today at Mainland Oil and Gas”.
“I have slept in two different filling stations just to get fuel.”
“Luckily for me, as I was passing, I discovered that this Filling Station has fuel.”
Others equally thanked Mainland Oil and Gas for following the directive of NNPC in distributing petrol in order to reduce queue.
