Owerri West Local Government Council Is Unhabitable As SOLAD Mobilized Earthmoving Machines For Immediate Take-off of Bush Clearing
The Sole Administrator of Owerri West local government council, Victor Osuigwe has Mobilized Earthmoving Machines to as a matter of urgency commence the clearing of overgrown bushes in the headquarters.
He further met with the staffs of the council, HODs and many groups of individuals who stormed the council headquarters to identify with the SOLAD.
SOLAD told the press that Owerri West local government area Council has remained unhabitable since past adminstrations and grasses are overgrown all over the premises.
Against this backdrop, SOLAD Victor Osuigwe has assured the people of the area of his readiness to clear the bushes sorrounding the council while making efforts to return the council playground to its enviable status as one of the best football field in all the 27 local government areas in Imo state Nigeria.
In his familiarization meeting with the Heads of Departments and workers of the local government area at the council headquarters in Umuguma Owerri West, Hon Victor Osuigwe noted with dismay the decaying situation of the local government council headquarters and charged the workers to braise up action to improve the place.
On an on- the- spot tour conducted within the council premises, the ICT center built by the former House of Assembly member for Owerri West, Hon. Victor Onyewuchi Ikonne has almost collapsed including the LGA chapel, INEC office while leaving the council Hall and the Administrative building uncompleted till date, 9News Nigeria reports.
He however pointed out the importance of returning the local government council headquarters to a functional tier of Government to breach the gap between the people and the governor.
He stated that the local government council system was set up to improve to the wellbeing of the rural communities but regretted the attitudes of past leaders who did not care to do any meaningful work or execute any signature projects in their time.
While stating that the Owerri West local government area Council headquarter is not conducive to execute his function, SOLAD Victor Osuigwe has mobilized an earthmoving machine to commence clearance of grasses with immediate effect.
The earthmoving machine was sighted by 9News Nigeria correspodent amidst crowds of Local Government staffs who were happy to witness such a new era of Government that has remembered to clear the overgrown bushes and set back the football pitch in order.
The HODs and workers of Owerri West local government council expressed happiness for such a swift action taken by the Hon. SOLAD Victor Osuigwe and thanked Governor Hope Uzodinma for appointing such a wonderful and dedicated leader.
Recalling the hard times being faced by the local government workers, the HODs hinted that most of the workers have been skipped out of the salary scale which has led to non-payment till date. They however requested for their reinstatement which the SOLAD promised to do everything possible to get such delisted workers back to payroll.
There is every assurance that the meeting of the sole administrator of Owerri West and the staffs of the council will yield better results in the near future having witnessed the swift actions taking by Victor Osuigwe and the expression of cherry moments seen glaring on the faces of Owerri West council workers today Tuesday August 2022.
The immediate clearing of bushes, compound cleaning and possibly reshuffling of decaying policies at the council headquarters will usher in New narrative as posited by the Honorable SOLAD.
