A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Ebenezer Babatope has reacted to the recent development in the main opposition party in the country.
Babatope, who is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party stated that he is surprised that Governor Nyesom Wike is behaving this way adding that the leaders in the party have appealed to him but he still wants to work against the PDP.
The former Minister, however, wished the Governor of Rivers State good luck ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Recall that Wike, at the inauguration of Omerelu internal roads in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state, alleged that Senator Iyorchia Ayu’s actions had clearly shown that he did not want the party to win the 2023 election and he will help him to lose.
The recent statement by the Governor of Rivers State has generated mixed reactions from members of the Peoples Democratic Party.
